ABOUT US

Calamity Punk Publishing was born in a lot of ways, the day I started DMing my first game. I knew so little about the traditional D&D world lore, and knew my players knew it way better than I probably ever would. So, out of the fear of looking like a fraud, I decided I would make my own homebrew world to ensure I'd always have the answers of course (I've never claimed to be a smart man). This choice would lead me to eventually realizing how much I loved spending time building cities, shops, people, monsters, and everything else that would exist in the world of Cealla.

Fast forward a decade of completed campaigns and manic scribblings, I knew I wanted to take my worldbuilding to the next level in terms of depth and specificity. I wanted to know the streets, the neighborhoods, the shops, and the people who could be found in every metropolitan city and small hamlet. As a Game Master, I felt like so many of my cities felt like lifeless waystations instead of living, breathing locations. As I started spending more and more time building out neighborhoods and locales, I started to think how modular things like this could be, and how useful something like this would have been to me starting out, or even now. And that's pretty much how this whole thing got started!

OUR TEAM

We're currently three strong, with two of us focused on authoring new locations and NPCs, with our third and newest member providing the art for the NPCs and monsters in our newly published products! We also commission a number of artists regularly for some of the larger pieces you see on this page and in our Setting Guides. Beyond that, we're very lucky to have a close group of friends, players, and play testers who are always willing to help by venturing into the wilds of untested dungeons and newly built monsters.

OUR GOALS

Simply put, our goal is to publish in-depth, modular Setting Guides that both new and veteran Game Masters can use to breathe a unique sense of life into their worlds. Whether your players have surprised you by going to that one city you've never really planned much for, or you want to make one neighborhood really pop to have them keep coming back, our goal is to give you all the lore you need in a way that you can easily make your own.

In addition to our Setting Guides, we're also publishing interconnected Encounters, Adventure Modules, and Systems that arm Game Masters with dynamic things to do at a moments notice, and a seamless transition into adventures your players will love.
